Private Chef · Hampstead
The wide tree-lined roads behind the High Street, the Georgian terraces around Church Row, the large Victorian houses with long gardens backing onto the Heath — these are homes of a particular character. Quietly substantial. Intellectually confident. Put together over years rather than decorated in a season.
The households here tend to entertain in a way that matches the houses: generously, without pretension, and with a genuine investment in the quality of what is on the table. A Sunday lunch in Hampstead is rarely a casual affair, even when it looks like one. The guest list matters. The menu matters. What does not appear to matter — and should not — is how any of it was arranged.
Andrés brings to Hampstead the same approach he brings to every private home: absolute discretion, meticulous preparation, and food that is genuinely worth talking about. Whether it is a long summer lunch in the garden, a winter dinner party for twelve, or a standing arrangement during a demanding term, the standard is the same throughout.
Services
The social anchor of the week in NW3. A long, unhurried lunch for family and close friends — somewhere between eight and twenty covers — with a seasonal menu that takes its cue from the morning's market and the mood of the room. Andrés handles everything so that the meal feels like something that simply happened, beautifully.
Enquire →The Hampstead garden in summer is one of London's best-kept secrets. A long lunch on the terrace, a drinks reception before guests arrive, a garden supper as the light drops over the Heath. Andrés plans and executes the full service outdoors — produce, preparation, presentation and service — to the same standard as any dining room.
Enquire →Autumn and winter bring a particular kind of Hampstead dinner party: a well-chosen table of twelve in the dining room, a menu that leans into the season, and an evening in no hurry to end. Menus built around game, root vegetables, rich stocks and the produce that is genuinely best in the colder months.
