As we approach the colder seasons and the weather changes, so does our susceptibility to cold and flu viruses. When these viruses strike, we often turn to over-the-counter medicines for relief. However, there are many natural remedies that can help combat their symptoms, and based in my holistic knowledge, I can offer some delicious dishes and beverages to support your immune system. In this post, I will share some of my favorite natural remedies that I like to incorporate into my client’s diet to help them fight off cold and flu symptoms.

GINGER

What it is and why it’s important: Ginger is a natural anti-inflammatory that can help reduce the inflammation in the body caused by some viruses. It is also effective in soothing a cough or sore throat and, which is a common symptom of the flu. Adding fresh ginger to your meals or sipping on ginger tea can help ease the discomfort.
