London · Private Chef

A private chef in London,
for the way you live now.

Bespoke at-home dining, private occasions and quiet, ongoing kitchen support — for London households who expect a precise, unhurried standard from the people who work in their home.

London does not perform.
It expects.

London is not a city that announces its standards. They are simply held. The household here entertains often and at short notice — a Tuesday supper for guests in town for two nights, a Thursday dinner that begins after a board meeting, a Sunday lunch for fourteen that has to feel like nine — and it expects the food, the room and the rhythm of the evening to land without being managed.

A private chef in your home is not a downgrade from a restaurant. Done with care, it is the more elevated option: a menu written for your guests, cooked in your kitchen, paced to your evening — and shared with no one else. It is the dinner you would expect from a private members' club, in the room you actually want to be in.

Three ways
to work together.

Most engagements fall into one of three forms — though each is shaped entirely around the household, the diary and the guest. The simplest way to begin is by getting in touch about a date.

Andrés Ribera — Private Chef, London

Trained at the highest standard.
Based in London.

Andrés Ribera is a London-based private chef with over fifteen years across some of the world's most demanding kitchens — including Nobu and a number of New York's most celebrated dining rooms — before moving full-time to private work. His clients have included royalty, foreign heads of state, award-winning musicians and senior figures in film and finance. None of them are listed here. That is rather the point.

Andrés works from London outward — across Mayfair, Belgravia, Chelsea, Kensington, Knightsbridge, Notting Hill, Marylebone, Hampstead, St John's Wood and Richmond — and travels for ongoing engagements in the Home Counties, the Cotswolds and internationally. The London standard, regardless of postcode.

His cooking is rooted in classical European technique, with a Spanish accent and a quiet, ingredient-led modernity. The aim is never the chef's signature; it is the way the room feels at the end of the evening.

For the way
London actually entertains.

London does not entertain in venues. It entertains at home — in townhouses behind quiet squares, in penthouses above the river, in family residences kept open for the Season — and it does so in a way that asks for the chef in the room to disappear into the rhythm of the evening.

Most enquiries come from private households across prime London who want one consistent, trusted chef; from family offices, principals' assistants and house managers booking on behalf of busy clients; and from international families in residence for the Season, in townhouses, penthouses or serviced homes.

Beyond the resident audience, Andrés is regularly engaged for private occasions at home — milestone dinners, anniversaries and gatherings hosted in London homes rather than venues — for discreet professional dinners where the room and the conversation must remain off-record, and for long-stay and relocation support: recurring weekly cooking and in-residence presence for clients new to London or moving between homes.

Questions about hiring
a private chef in London.

Everything you need to know before making an enquiry. For anything else, write to hello@godsavethechef.co.uk.

  • Andrés covers all of central and prime London — Mayfair, Belgravia, Knightsbridge, Chelsea, Kensington, Notting Hill, Marylebone, Hampstead, St John's Wood and Richmond — and the wider city by arrangement. For dates outside London, the Home Counties, the Cotswolds and international engagements are accommodated where possible.
  • A private chef cooks in your home, to a menu written for your specific occasion and guests, with one consistent person leading the kitchen. There are no set menus, no platters and no compromise. With Andrés, it is one chef and one standard, working entirely to your brief — closer in spirit to a chef's-table dinner than to event catering.
  • As early as is practical. Availability moves quickly during peak periods, but short-notice and same-week dates are sometimes possible. Share your preferred date when you enquire and we will tell you, honestly, whether it is open.
  • Yes. All engagements are treated as entirely private. Andrés does not discuss clients, homes, guests or occasions, in any setting. NDAs are available on request and treated as standard.
  • Menu planning, ingredient sourcing, cooking, kitchen setup and clear-down. Full preparation and presentation of every course. Additional table service, sommelier or front-of-house staff are arranged according to the brief, so the household is never asked to manage logistics. Bespoke printed menus, place cards and other refined table details can also be commissioned as paid extras when the occasion calls for them — produced to a standard that suits the room and quietly added to the engagement.
  • Yes. Andrés regularly cooks in serviced apartments, private residences and hotel suites for clients in London for the season or moving between homes. The standard does not change; the kitchen does.
  • Always. Allergies, intolerances, medical requirements, religious observance and personal preferences are designed into the menu from the outset, never accommodated as an afterthought.
  • A short, considered conversation about the date, the room, the guests and what you would like the evening to feel like. Andrés then proposes a menu and a clear approach. Nothing is confirmed until you are completely satisfied.
