How Art and Gastronomy make love at Frieze London

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of visiting the Frieze art fair in London. While I’m not an art expert, I’m just beginning to uncover its intricacies and the experience reminded me of the powerful connection between art, gastronomy and the discerning tastes of high-net-worth individuals.

I wouldn’t say that Frieze is only an art event. It’s the place to be for all the galleries and art collectors around the globe. And I loved seeing how significant for the organisers the food was, with Michelin starred restaurants like Petersham Nurseries or more streetfood options like BAO.

It also provided me with some context into the tastes of potential new clients who appreciate art and luxury. Conversations about art often serve as an excellent icebreaker, helping us understand our clients’ preferences better and create more personalised dining experiences.

Attending events like Frieze also encourages worthwhile connections. The diversity of attendees, from art dealers, PAs, realtors to collectors and artists themselves, allows us to broaden our horizons and gain fresh perspectives. And the fact that the art pieces were just stunning (as you can see from the pictures) didn’t hurt either 🤩

All in all it was a fantastic experience that I look forward to repeat next year!🤝🍴🎨
